About Vietnam Airlines (VN) Flights
Vietnam Airlines is the national carrier of Vietnam. The airline was founded in 1956 as Vietnam Civil Aviation and was established as a state-owned enterprise in 1989. Its headquarters is located in Long Bien District, Hanoi, Vietnam.
Vietnam Airlines became a member of SkyTeam in 2010, making it the first Southeast Asian airline to have joined the alliance. On 20th October 2002, the airlines introduced the new logo of the Golden Lotus as a corporate identity that signifies its dramatic progress towards becoming a world-class airline. It has codeshare agreements with more than 22 airlines which include Etihad Airways, China Airlines, Finnair, KLM, Qantas, Air France, Cathay Pacific, Jet Airways and more.

The airline offers two in-house in-flight magazines for travelers. The magazines named ‘Heritage’ and ‘Heritage Fashion’ are available on both domestic and international routes.
The Economy Class passengers are allowed to carry one piece of hand baggage whereas the passengers flying with Premium Class and Business Class airline tickets are permitted to carry two pieces of carry-on baggage.
The maximum dimensions of each piece of carry-on baggage must not exceed 22x11x9 inches and the maximum weight must not exceed 15lbs.
The Business Class and Economy Class flyers onboard Vietnam Airlines flights are permitted to carry two pieces of checked baggage each weighing not over 50 lbs. as free checked baggage. The maximum dimension per piece must not exceed 62 inches or 107 inches as the total dimension of two pieces.
For health and safety reasons, each piece of checked-in baggage onboard Vietnam Airlines flights must not exceed 70 lbs. and maximum dimensions up to 80 inches.
