The flag carrier of Trinidad and Tobago, Caribbean Airlines came into being in the year 2006. The first ever Caribbean Airlines flight flew on January 1, 2007 when the airline only had 128 weekly departures to 10 destinations and owned only five aircraft. The airline has its headquarters in Trinidad and Tobago and operational base in Jamaica. It is the largest airline in the Caribbean.
The airline also has two frequent flyer programs – Club Caribbean and Caribbean Miles. All Club Caribbean members enjoy a wide range of benefits over other flyers. Hand Baggage – All the passengers flying with Caribbean Airlines are permitted to carry one piece of hand baggage and one personal item on all flights. The maximum permitted weight of such a piece of hand baggage is 10 kgs / 22 lbs. and the linear dimension of the same should not exceed 114 cm./ 45 inch (L+W+H). Also, the permitted maximum linear dimensions of one personal item are 91 cm. / 36 inch. Flyers can carry one personal item such as handbag, laptop bag or any other item of smaller or similar size.
Business Class (All routes)
Flyers on the business class of Caribbean Airlines flights are permitted to carry three pieces of checked baggage for free on all routes. The maximum weight for each checked bag should not exceed 23 kgs./ 50lbs. and the maximum linear permitted dimensions for each bag are 157 cm/ 62 inches (L+W+H).
All Flex category flyers are permitted to carry three pieces of checked baggage not weighing over 32 kgs./ 50lbs. (each bag) and the linear dimensions of the same not exceeding 157 cm./ 62 inches (L+W+H).
The Semi-Flex and Non-Flex flyers can carry one piece of checked baggage for free. The maximum weight of such a baggage should not exceed 23kgs./ 50lbs. and the maximum permitted linear dimensions for the same are 157 cm/ 62 inches.
