Founded in the year 1948, El Al Airlines is the national airline of Israel. The airline that is headquartered at the Ben Gurion Airport in Israel operated its very first flight in September 1948. Baggage Policy

Hand Baggage – Economy class flyers are permitted to carry only one luggage unit with its maximum dimensions not exceeding 56 cm (length) x 45 cm (width) x 25 cm (depth). The maximum dimension of 115 cm includes wheels, side pockets and handles. The total weight of such a hand baggage should not exceed 8 kgs.

Business and First class passengers flying on El Al Airlines flights can carry two pieces of hand baggage. The total permitted weight for business class flyers is 20 kgs and 24 kgs for First Class. The dimensions of such pieces of hand baggage should not exceed 56 cm (length) x 45 cm (width) x 25 cm (depth).

Checked Baggage – Economy class flyers are permitted to carry only one checked baggage with maximum weight of 23 kgs. The Business class and First class flyers can carry two and three pieces of checked baggage respectively with each bag weighing not more than 32 kgs. Infants flying on El Al Airlines flights are allowed to check-in one baggage weighing not over 10 kgs. The maximum permitted dimension for a piece of baggage is 158 cm (length + width + depth).
