About Oman Air (WY) Flights
A member of the Arab Air Carriers Organization, Oman Air (WY) is the national airline of Oman. The carrier operates scheduled domestic and international passenger flights. Founded in 1993, the slogan of the airline is ‘Modern Vision. Timeless traditions.’ It maintains two hubs at Muscat International Airport and Salalah International Airport.
Oman Air has been honored with numerous Skytrax World Airline Awards, The World Travel Awards, Arab Tourism Media Awards, Best In-flight Connectivity & Communications Award, and many others. The airline also won the award of the Best International Airline 2016 at the South India Travel Awards held in Hyderabad, India.
Connectivity and Fleet Size
Oman Air flights fly to 58 destinations in over 20 countries across Middle East, Africa, Asia and Europe. Some of the major destinations Oman Air reservations are available to include Muscat, Jeddah, Abu Dhabi, Delhi, Singapore, Bangkok, Paris, Munich, Zurich, London, etc.
The airline has codeshare agreements with several airlines such as Ethiopian Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Turkish Airlines, Garuda Indonesia, Royal Jordanian, etc. Recently, the airline signed codeshare agreements with Thai Airways and Saudia offering travelers better connectivity and choice.
As of November 2016, Oman Air enjoys a fleet size of 50 aircraft.
Services and Amenities
Oman Air serves Halal meals to all its customers, according to Islamic dietary laws. Special meals are also available on request.
Alcoholic beverages are served on board but only on international flights to non-Muslim passengers except Saudi Arabia and Iran bound flights.
In-flight magazine of Oman Air namely ‘Wings of Oman’ is available on all the international and domestic flights in English and Arabic languages. The magazine features a variety of topics such as lifestyle, healthcare, entertainment, travel, and tourism collection.
Airbus A330-300 and Boeing 787 aircraft provide internet access with Wi-Fi and network portability on board.
Passengers are also offered state-of-the-art in-flight entertainment. One can choose from a broad range of latest Arabic and international movies, TV shows, news, music, and games.
Each traveler can carry up to one bag and one personal item. The maximum dimensions and weight of carry-on luggage should not exceed 45 linear inches (length + width + height) and 15 lbs.
Business class passengers checked baggage should not exceed the maximum weight of 66 lbs. Economy class passengers checked baggage must not exceed the maximum weight of 44 lbs.
Baggage exceeding the given dimensions and weight restrictions are subject to payment of extra fees.
