About Japan Airlines (JL) Flights
Japan Airlines is the national airline of Japan. Headquartered in Shinagawa, Japan Airlines is the second biggest carrier in the country after All Nippon Airways. Special meal services are not available on short-haul flights that do not provide meal services. Requests for minimal allergen meals and Kosher meals must be made at least 72 hours before the scheduled departure time. Special meals are also available for children aged up to 8 months old.
The passengers flying on international flights can connect their smartphones, tablet PC and other Wi-Fi capable devices to in-flight Wi-Fi available on all international flights.
The airline provides a broad range of in-flight entertainment options including movies, games and audio programs. From April 2017, the airline enabled in-flight entertainment programs with Audio Description and captions for all passengers including those who have disabilities.
The airlines provides its passengers its in-flight magazine named Skyward.
Japan Airlines Bookings allow passengers to take with themselves one carry-on bag and one additional bag containing personal belongings such as shopping bag, handbag, etc. The total weight of both the bags should not exceed 22 lbs. and the maximum permitted dimension is 45 inches. All carry-on baggage must fit under the seat in front of you and in the above compartment.
The Economy Class and Premium Economy Class passengers are permitted to carry two pieces of checked baggage. Each piece of checked baggage must not weigh over 50 lbs. and the maximum permitted dimensions for the same are 203 cm including wheels and handles.
The passengers traveling with First Class and Business Class tickets are permitted to carry three pieces of checked baggage each weighing not over 70 lbs. The maximum dimension of each piece of checked baggage must not exceed 203 cm.
Passengers traveling with infants can check-in strollers, cradles and child seats free of charge.
