Headquartered in Tbilisi, Georgian Airways is the flag carrier of Georgia. The airline was established as Airzena in 1994 but was later renamed as Georgian Airways in 2004. The airline which initially operated charter flights to the United Arab Emirates, Italy, China, Syria, Vienna and Egypt was declared the flag carrier of Georgia in 1999.
The primary focus of the airline is to provide safe and reliable passenger and air cargo transportation with excellent customer service. In 2010, Georgian Airways became IATA member. Its main hub is located at Tbilisi International Airport.
Connectivity and Fleet Size
Georgian Airways flights fly to 10 destinations. Book airline tickets to fly to London, Amsterdam, Vienna, Prague, Batumi, Tel Aviv, Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Yerevan and Kiev. The airline has codeshare agreements with airBaltic, Armenia Aircompany, Austrian Airlines and KLM.
As of March 2017, the fleet of Georgian Airways consists of six aircraft, including three Boeing 737-700 NG, one CRJ 200 and two EMBRAER 190.

The airline offers assistance to unaccompanied minors. The unaccompanied minor becomes the airline’s full responsibility from the moment when he/she is handed over by the parents to the airport staff until the time the minor is received by the parent/ approved guardian at the destination airport.
The airline also accepts pregnant women in normal health, up to 36 weeks of the pregnancy.
To make passenger’s journey more enjoyable and reliable, all meals are prepared shortly before departure in a traditional Georgian way.
Passengers with Economy Class and Business Class airline tickets can enjoy food items like salads, cheese platter, bakery basket, deserts, excellent tea, coffee, home-made cakes, soft drinks, Georgian red and white wines and main courses with extensive options ranging from fresh lamb, beef, poultry or fish depending on the passenger's taste and preferences. None of the meals contain pork.
Fasting menu options are offered to all Business Class passengers during religious holidays.
Economy Class passengers are permitted to carry one piece of carry-on baggage whereas the Business Class passengers are allowed to carry two pieces for free.
Each carry-on baggage must not weigh over 17 lbs. and the maximum permitted dimensions of each bag are 55x40x20 cm.
In addition to the carry-on baggage allowance, the passengers may also carry some personal items, including an umbrella, walking stick, a bunch of flowers, a cell phone, crutches, photo camera, laptop, handbag, infant food and a reasonable amount of reading material.
Economy Class passengers are allowed to carry a maximum of 44 lbs. of weight as the free checked baggage whereas the Business Class passengers are allowed to carry a maximum of 66 lbs.
Passengers traveling with infants without a seat are permitted to carry an additional 22 lbs. of checked baggage.
The overall dimensions of checked baggage should not exceed 158 cm for adults and 115 cm for children.
