One of the leading airline in French Polynesia, Air Tahiti was founded in 1987. Air Tahiti flights fly to 47 islands in French Polynesia. In April 2007, the airline started operating international flights between Tahiti and Rarotonga. As of January 2016, the Air Tahiti fleet consists of 16 in-service flights including 2 ATR 42-600, 6 ATR 72-500, 3 ATR 72-600, 3 Beechcraft King Air B200, two de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter.

With Air Tahiti reservation, your carry-on baggage allowance will be the same for every destination. The maximum dimensions should be 37 inches and the maximum weight should not exceed 11 lbs. Because of the small size of cabins and luggage compartments, the airline doesn’t allow other hands-on accessories like laptops, cameras, handbags, etc.
If you have booked a standard Air Tahiti tickets (Y class) or a flight from/ to Rarotonga, you are allowed to carry maximum three pieces of baggage as checked-in baggage. Maximum dimensions of the checked-in baggage should be 59 inches and maximum permissible weight is 50 lbs. per person for all pieces.
If you have booked a special ticket (Z class) with additional weight allowance, you can carry up to 3 bags per person. Maximum dimensions and weight should not exceed 59 inches and 100 lbs. per person for all three pieces.
Baggage dimensions include wheels and handle too. Also, there is no baggage allowance for infants.
