A French airline, Air Tahiti Nui was founded to connect the islands of Tahiti to the world’s great places. The carrier operates long-haul journeys from its official base at Faa’a International Airport.
The airline was founded on 31 October 1996 and start operating its flights on 20 November 1998. The airline was founded to develop the inbound tourism. It was the first global carrier centered in Papeete, Tahiti.

For Moana Economy Class passengers, Air Tahiti Nui allows one piece with maximum weight up to 50lbs.The maximum dimension of such a piece of checked baggage should not exceed 62 inches.
The Poerava Business Class passengers flying with Air Tahiti Nui flights can carry two items with maximum weight up to 70lbs and the maximum permitted dimensions of the same are 62 inches.
Infants in all categories are allowed one piece and one folding stroller with maximum weight up to 22lbs and the maximum dimensions of the same should not exceed 62 inches.
If you’re a frequent flyer, i.e. Gold & Silver Club member, you are allowed to carry one extra bag.
