Good news for those living in Charlotte. Plan your trip to New Orleans soon because Spirit Airlines has announced a direct flight service from Charlotte Douglas International Airport. From October 10th, 2024, you can fly nonstop to New Orleans five days a week, i.e., Monday, Thursday, and Sunday, improving the connectivity between Charlotte Douglas International Airport and Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport. The basic fares for the route start at $65. It is the lowest fare with nonstop connectivity even for weekend travel. Charlotte to New Orleans flight booking is now open.
The announcement came after Frontier Airlines announced its plan to end the service on this route. JetBlue has announced that it will stop its service at Charlotte Douglas International Airport this October. Spirit Airlines currently operates from Charlotte to Chicago, Boston, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and New York City, along with nine other cities.
Spirit has also changed its traditional budget model. Despite being a low-cost carrier, the airline has introduced the Go Big package to enhance the passenger experience. Passengers can now enjoy many perks such as priority check-in, complimentary snacks and beverages, comfortable large seats, checked baggage and carry-on baggage, and free onboard WiFi.
