no-summer-flights-from-london-heathrow-to-abu-dhabi

British Airways is forced to put its London Heathrow and Abu Dhabi flights starting next summer on hold. The crisis has arisen because of the sluggish supply chain of Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines that make its fleet of Boeing 787 Dreamliners.

The Middle Eastern route is the latest to suffer due to the ongoing engine crisis. It is worth noting that the airline resumed its daily Abu Dhabi service in April after a four-year hiatus due to the pandemic.

British Airways flights to the UAE capital have again taken a hit with the cancellation of its London Heathrow to Abu Dhabi flights between 30 March and 25 October 2025.

Passengers set to leave for Abu Dhabi from Heathrow with British Airways in 2025 would now have to travel via Dubai.

The airline, on its part, has offered the affected passengers the option of same-day rebooking on other airlines or claiming a full refund.

It would be interesting to note that October saw British Airways cancel the resumption of its daily flights between Heathrow and Kuala Lumpur this winter as well as its New York flights from London Gatwick for over a five-month period.

The airline has also suspended one of two daily London Heathrow-Doha links because of a similar problem.
