Check-in, Weight, Extra Fees, & Restrictions

  • Passenger must check in their sports equipment before 60 minutes for domestic and 90 minutes for international flights.
  • When checking in sports equipment, passengers will have to pay a fee, which may vary while booking, before check-in, and at the Airport.
  • The weight of the equipment should not exceed 62 linear inches and 40 lbs and if the baggage is overweight, approximately $50 will be charged for 41-50 lbs and $100 for 51-99 lbs.

How to Pack and Carry Sports Equipment’s?

  • The golf clubs must be in a hard-sided golf bag case.
  • Bicycles should be packed in a bike box with handlebars turned sideways and with pedals removed.
  • Skis and Snowboards must be a suitable protective case.
  • Surfboards should be packed in their bags.
  • The kayak must be packed in a suitable kayak bag or case to protect it during transit.
  • Fishing rods should be packed in fishing rod tubes or cases to protect the rods.

  • Pack paragliders in a bag or case.
  • Any item that exceeds 99lbs or 115 linear will not be acceptable on Frontier Airline.  
  • Shooting equipment is allowed by the airlines and can be carried as checked-in baggage.
  • Passengers can carry a maximum of 11 lbs of ammunition packed in the manufacturer's original container. Firearms must be unloaded, packed, and locked in hard-sided containers and should be declared at the ticket counter.
